From Kenscoff to the World: How Franckel Jeanrisca’s CSH Dirèk Is Redefining Haiti’s Financial Future

A bold, Haitian-built fintech startup is tearing down barriers, dodging exploitative fees, and restoring economic dignity to the people — one transfer at a time.

In a time when Haiti is being isolated by design — politically silenced, economically squeezed, and digitally excluded — one young man from the hills of Kenscoff is proving that the future won’t be dictated from abroad. It will be built from within.

His name is Franckel Jeanrisca, and his creation, CSH Dirèk, is more than a mobile money app.

CSH Dirèk is more than an app — it’s a declaration of independence,” Jeanrisca said to a packed room at the Karibe Hotel on May 28th, 2025.

Built for Haitians, by Haitians

CSH Dirèk is a peer-to-peer fintech platform that allows Haitians — no matter where they are — to send, receive, and withdraw money with nothing more than a phone. From the mountaintops of Kenscoff to the countryside of Les Cayes, CSH Dirèk brings dignity and agency to those abandoned by traditional banking.

I built this because my mother had to walk miles just to access her own money. That’s not dignity — that’s neglect,” Jeanrisca told the crowd.

CSH Dirèk was born out of his own lived experience — watching his community stand in endless bank lines, losing money through errors, and enduring fees that stripped families of already-meager funds.

A Financial Rebellion

What sets CSH Dirèk apart isn’t just its technology — it’s its mission: resistance through inclusion.

Haitians pay $1.50 per transfer to a government they no longer trust. And soon, migrants across the globe could be forced to pay an additional $3.50 remittance tax, courtesy of U.S. congressional proposals. That’s money stripped from Haitian pockets to fund bureaucracy and corruption.

Every transfer through CSH Dirèk is an act of resistance. It says we will no longer fund our own oppression,” said legal advisor Yves Emmanuel Adeclar.

This platform is rewriting the rules. No middlemen. No government siphons. Just direct, human-centered connection.

If banks won’t come to the mountains of Haiti, we’ll bring banking to the people instead,” Jeanrisca said defiantly.

A Movement, Not Just a Model

At the launch, government ministers, artists, and diaspora leaders gathered to witness a moment that felt less like a product reveal and more like a social uprising.

This isn’t just technology. It’s liberation. Our mothers, our marchandes, our ti komèsan — they now have power in their pocket,” said association leader Jocelyne Jean Louis.

We used to send money and hope. Now, we send tools and trust,” said one Haitian diaspora supporter.

This is how nation-building begins: not with foreign aid, but with native ingenuity.

Why CSH Dirèk Matters Now

  • Keeps More Money in Haitian Hands: Avoids government and global remittance fees.

  • Empowers the Diaspora: Creates financial bridges, not just pipelines.

  • Includes the Excluded: Brings rural, unbanked Haitians into the 21st century.

  • Shields Against Corruption: Decentralizes power and increases transparency.

This project says that Haiti is not finished. We can still innovate and surprise,” Jeanrisca reminded his supporters.

What’s Next?

Jeanrisca isn’t done. He’s expanding CSH Dirèk into new zones, recruiting grassroots ambassadors, and preparing for tech upgrades that ensure long-term resilience.

This isn’t a fintech detour. It’s a roadmap to a Haitian-controlled economy.
